Far Out.... I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO old, that I remember these very clearly.....
They were incredible and brilliant...
They still are.
Even though I am in Australia - and on the other side of the planet - so "our" variety was much less... and the places these were installed in significant numbers, were far and few between - but I remember playing some 60% of them....
Space Invades,
Pac Man,
Battle Zone,
The Shark hunter,
Galaga, Galaxia,
Frogger.
Tron.
Asteroids.
Mario Brothers.
Sonic the Headjob.
Mario Cart.
Centipedes.
Moon Lander.
Donkey Kong.
Mortal Kombat.
There MIGHT be some others...
And the brands like Sega and Atari... and a few more if someone mentioned them or showed me pictures...
There was a pin ball manufacturer or two...
There might be a few more arcade machines and pin ball machines and manufacturers, from within Australia from about 1977 to about maybe 1990.
I'd have to see the pictures and maybe some lists - who were the importers and where did they send their machines.... and my locations in different years.
Beyond that - I don't fucking know.....
OLD memories can be like trying to catch a week old fart in a fan factory where everyone eats beans.....
It was an incredible time from the very earliest games - to the more sophisticated ones... RAPID technology development...
Then there were the Pin Ball Machines... Waaaaaaaaaaa
Incredible things....
I am not positively gagging for it, but I'd like to go in there during a long stop and have a couple of hamburgers with the lot and a coffee and a coke etc., and a bag of coins and have at it for a couple of hours..
