Tear gas & water cannons: Protest turns violent in Thessaloniki

Hundreds of students took to the streets in Thessaloniki to protest against the opening of a newly formed University Police Unit. Protesters marched, chanted, burnt garbage cans and threw objects at police. Officers in riot gear fired tear gas grenades and used water cannons.
