POV: Every Stage of Perturabo's Fall to Daemonhood | Warhammer 40K

Before Perturabo became a Daemon Primarch, he already believed suffering was a tool.

Long before the Horus Heresy, before Fulgrim dragged him into the Eye of Terror, and before he began actively pursuing the power of the Warp, Perturabo had already decimated his own Legion, turned resentment into doctrine, and learned to treat people like components in a siege engine.

Chaos did not create those foundations.

This immersive Warhammer 40K POV story follows Perturabo through ten stages of his fall from his childhood on Olympia to the Iron Cage and his eventual daemonhood.

You watch the Lord of Iron repeatedly make the same mistake in different forms: if something can be understood, calculated, engineered, or weaponized, then he believes it can be controlled.

That logic survives the Hrud campaign. It survives the destruction of Olympia. It carries him into Horus' rebellion and the massacre at Isstvan V.

Then Fulgrim shows him what the Warp can do.

During Angel Exterminatus, Perturabo nearly becomes the fuel for another Primarch's ascension. Instead of deciding the Warp is too dangerous to touch, he begins studying it. At Tallarn, nobody has to trick him into seeking occult power. By the time he confronts Daemon Primarch Angron, Perturabo can use Chaos-tainted weapons and warriors while still convincing himself that he remains fundamentally different from his brothers.

Then comes Terra.

The greatest siege of the age gives Perturabo everything he thought he wanted and finally proves that Horus values him much like the Emperor once did: as the man expected to perform the impossible work while others claim the glory.

He walks away.

But walking away from Horus does not undo Olympia, Isstvan, Tallarn, the Warp, or everything Perturabo has already learned to use.

Only Rogal Dorn remains.
