No Friends at 50 - Old, Ugly and Friendless

I have always been "the new girl in town", but at least when I was younger I had school to have a chance at meeting friends. Now that I'm 50 and after losing my waistline and what looks I had, I have no one to talk with over drinks or invite over to talk about life. Sometimes, I'm good with just having my dogs, my husband and my son, but other times, it's pretty lonely. I've had so many cool experiences, but no one to talk about them.
