New footage of doomed Titan sub wreckage released

OceanGate’s doomed Titan submersible, which was tragically destroyed while journeying to the wreckage of the Titanic in June of last year, has been filmed by a remote camera, which shows what little remains resting at the bottom of the Atlantic. The footage was obtained by the Coast Guard Marine Board of Investigation as part of their investigation into the loss of the submersible. Titan, along with OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush and four other passengers, were instantly crushed after the submersible’s structure failed, and catastrophically imploded. The video shows part of the sub’s tail cone partially buried in the sand on the Atlantic Ocean floor, nearly four kilometers below the surface.
