I only buy what is genuinely necessary - I get brand new - second hand - refurbished - phone - that when the 3G network closed down and you had to buy a 4G network compatible phone..... I got a spanking 2019 J5 phone, It's fast enough.... HOWEVER - I am too stupid to use a super duper really powerful desk top computer in a mobile phone type device... I imagine that these are REALLY capable phones with really capable computational power and functions....... I need maps for some obscure routes..... Roads through OLD mining areas, tend to fuck with my mind and they get curly and go all over the place... None of this north - south, east - west bullshit.... SMS's are really good. Phone calls are good, and a REASONABLY GOOD video and picture capability are really incredible...... and the OLD phones still do a LOT of really great shit - really well enough....... So I can get a GREAT 6 year old phone for $120 - so why pay like I dunno $1300 for an Apple I Phone, AND then to go partly fucking SMASH IT........

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: the reason why they do that is because these retards are convinced a smashed iphone is somehow masculine. obviously we know its wrong, but there are too many suckers who would believe it. I do admit that most if not all the tech I buy is used, so not as expensive, but destroying new perfectly working hardware feels particularly egregious to me, like its something that should be shamed, not encouraged.
