The Russian Defense Ministry has reported that its troops are gaining more ground along the frontlines in conflict with Ukraine.
Moscow also said Kiev lost nearly 9,000 troops in the last week.
To replenish the losses, the controversial practice of forced mobilization is still being carried out, which is causing outrage among Ukrainians.
