Iran says it's close to reaching a deal with Oman on the legal framework to manage the Strait of Hormuz, specifically concerning future shipping routes.
The new plan is believed to give Tehran control of all incoming maritime activity in the waterway, while Muscat would police exit points.
Iranian media has revealed a number of the deal's details, citing a source in Parliament.
