Even the most "responsible" and "intelligent" women I've met; accountability is like kryptonite to them. It's like turning the light on a roach, they flee from it instinctively. I suppose it's some neotenous tendency they have to get stronger individuals to take care of them or something. But there's definitely some narcissism in there too as you said.
