@Toki: it's how it starts... I think he assumed menstrating, but she was the appropriate age and dumb enough to swim in the dark on the surface alone... I would say take out meal, but she literally walked into that one.

@Toki: I haven't seen the movie for quite awhile myself, and don't recall anyone mentioning it. It just made sense to me, that would be the most logical reason the shark was drawn to her. Many waaah men are impulsive anyway. She was playing games with the dude accompanying her, and without thinking, decided to go for a swim, which sealed her fate.
