I'm not a Flat Earther, but I can imagine a reason or two why the subject might be lied about. A massive hidden cache of Real Estate is my first choice of why they'd hide NeuSCHWABenland and other places. Imagine another world of pristine land and water. My imagination says they are enslaving us to raid this realm of resources. We are now at the end of the cycle so they're culling us, the slave heard. Those of us strong enough to survive will seed the now hidden continents as they repeat the cycle and clean up this realm for some centuries. Rinse & repeat in 2500 (or whatever it is) year cycles.
