I'm a manager, and I only treat people bad if they aren't putting in an effort. If you're working hard and doing a good job I'll love you! You're going to get me my bonus!

If someone is not doing their job, write them up and escalate it that way. It is not a justification for treating someone bad especially in a professional setting. That is part of being a good manager maintaining professionalism and being respectful even with bad workers.

@TheRareBreedTheory: Escalating it where? Unfortunately life just doesn't work like this. Have you managed people? To change people's behavior you need to use positive and negative reinforcement. Treating bad means reduced hours, no positive reinforcement, not pay rises, and posibly getting fired. You can't baby bad employees and care about their feelings. The world doesn't have enough resources to care about the feelings of the useless. Good employees get treated well, if you're not getting treated right at work, maybe ask why?

Treat humans like shit, don't be surprised when the target of the verbal abuse. Shows up one thanksgiving holiday, guns down your entire family and relatives. ( Poisons work too, but are less fun ) Just because one human was a verbal monster. You want humans to respect you, USE VIOLENCE. Seems to be sure way someone gets the point.
