Ukraine’s Christmas message has triggered sharp reactions after Zelensky used his holiday address to express a death wish, while also denouncing Russians as “godless.”

The remarks come amid intensified pressure on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, including church seizures, arrests of clergy, and the reclassification of Orthodox Christmas on January 7 as a professional holiday.

Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk reacts to the speech, calling it a continuation of policies that deepen division, fuel conflict, and alienate millions of believers during one of Christianity’s most sacred periods.

"Techno-Feudalism" describes a cycle: Individualists—those who are losing within the capitalist system—lament their inability to succeed. Meanwhile, other individuals collaborate to build the systems they desire. These collaborators ultimately win, creating powerful monopolies. The losing individualists then collectively fail against these new monopolies, only to later replicate the same pattern. They believe they can build a fairer world for individual competition, yet they will inevitably be overcome by new groups who gain wealth and power through collaboration—an outcome inherent to any human-made system.

Israel has occupied Syria’s Golan Heights since 1967 — and this year, that occupation appears more entrenched than ever.

An official Syrian ministry map shocked observers by omitting the Golan entirely, fueling accusations that Damascus has quietly accepted Israel’s control. The move comes amid continued US backing, including former President Donald Trump’s recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the territory.

The Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox Church have condemned Zelensky’s Christmas address, in which he appeared to wish death upon an unnamed individual.

Speaking to RT, Vakhtang Kipshidze, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Department for Church–Society Relations, said such rhetoric is incompatible with the meaning of Christmas and reflects a broader campaign against the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
