Maybe they should think about introducing different VALVE'S for different Gases when they fill tanks?
It's coming up to Christmas and you will get a lot of this stuff turning up. Being the SICK Bastard I am can I ask one question? How could you tell if a child is on helium or taking normally? There little voices are so high anyway's. I mean it's dangerous enough filling a balloon with helium and doing those funny voices at a party, but WHY did the tanks have helium in them in the first place?
They should know it's helium when they sound like Donald Duck as they speak.
From the news report:
"...the tanks the kids were GIVEN [emphasis mine] contained helium instead of oxygen. Helium is used by scuba divers for deep diving and is usually mixed with oxygen."
"While Suzie’s ex-husband went back into the garage, the CHILDREN [emphasis mine] grabbed the tanks and started diving."
So unclear from the article whether the kids were GIVEN tanks filled with helium or if they GRABBED tanks filled with helium in their excitement.
Furthermore, this happened in a swimming pool in someone's backyard; not out in the ocean. My guess is this was the home of a do-it-yourselfer SCUBA diver who had tanks of various gasses for mixing depending on the type of diving they would do; not a licensed and regulated professional SCUBA diving operator running a business. The kids, excited at the prospect of SCUBA "diving", grabbed the wrong tanks while dad's back was turned.
Tragic though it is, the conclusion was:
"Florida State Attorney, Thomas Bakkedahl, said: ‘I can confirm that our office has conducted an exhaustive review of the sheriff’s comprehensive investigation along with additional information and materials provided by the mother of Zale and Saxon."
" ‘After significant legal research conducted by my chief assistant and one of my major crime prosecutors, it was determined that the state could not, in good faith, seek criminal charges in this heartbreakingly tragic event."
"‘Stated quite simply, the law and the facts prohibit a criminal prosecution in this instance. These findings and conclusions were communicated to the Martin County sheriff’s office and they have concurred with our decision."
And I know this site loves to throw women under the bus; oftentimes for good reason. However, in this case, it was the father's visitation day and he had full custody and responsibility for the kids; mom was miles away. The responsibility lies squarely on his head for failing to keep an eye on his children. Kids and water are a dangerous mix that can turn tragic in literal seconds; as this case proves. Should never have happened. I know from first-hand experience; I've pulled a toddler (not mine; an irresponsible cunt's who wasn't paying attention) out of a swimming pool before.
Survival of the fittest, woke Darwinism. Unlike the UK, big brother so far in Amerika doesn’t regulate all activities, although lately
we have been treated like subjects, much like the common wealth for centuries.
