Memorial services for Iran’s killed leader are being held beyond the country’s borders, including in Iraq, Pakistan, Nigeria and India. In the Indian city of Magund, people gathered at a blood donation camp to pay tribute.

RT spoke with Abuja-based Islamic theology lecturer Abdullahi Danladi, who argued that the attack failed to destabilize Iran. According to Danladi, the assassination produced the opposite result — uniting Iranians across political and social divisions.
