Western 'сharity’: Ghana’s seashore trashed with mountains of garbage

Beaches surrounding the Ghanaian capital, Accra, are a dumping ground for mountains of garbage, much of it consisting of Western clothing and charity donations. Thousands of tons of so-called 'recycled' clothing are coming from the US and Europe. It is sold cheaply to locals, but the items that are simply unusable end up in dumps near the city, before washing into the sea.
