I am a bit ignornant about this, but it appears to be on the American Mexican border and it was on the basis of Biden providing the knives, uniforms and weapons... I am too ignorant on the subject to get much beyond this.

@sbseed: I make special grinding stones, from assorted formulations - so I can sharpen up oddly shaped blades... Mostly it becomes more educated formulations the more you experiment.... and that knife looked like it was hard enough in the edge to hold a sharp edge, and it was also a "cutting through the jungle" type knife as well... AND the guy who used it, knew how to cut through just the layer of skin, so it could be peeled off.. like wise through the hair of the scalp... That knife was REAL sharp... So he is not the average dumb arse with weapons...... in either preparing them or using them.... And it's like the ring pull cans of tinned food, they actually use a sharp die (knife) to cut half way through the steel lid, to give the separaton line for when you crack the lid with the ring pull, and then keep the tear going, along the line of the partial perferation through the lid.... If you know how to sharpen knives "just so" you can easily cut halfway through the thickness of a piece of paper ....... So... I wonder who they were and why they were going after this guy? Maybe he was smuggling and raping children, while trafficing them.

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: the knife reminds me of a smachette or however that is spelled/said... i was not commenting on how sharp it was or how it is normally used, i said it is not common, even when military is assigned to jungle duty. at least as far as US military (again as far as i know)... the knife also reminds me of a kukri as well so, there is that as well...

BUT that looks like a butchering knife in his hand and he looks like he does a lot of animal killing and butchering ... Since good knives are made by the squillions in the USA and Mexico - it could be made in those countries, it could be from north America or central or south America or it could be an import..... It's not a standard knife... OR it's an uncommon combination of handle type and blade type....

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: not a normal butcher knife if it is one, this would be more custom made if that is the case... this is a large selection of custom butcher knives... not sure where they are made: https://www.webstaurantstore.c....om/2829/butcher-kniv some of these look similar, but there are only a couple that might be it since almost all of these are not as long... all professional butcher knives for removed flesh from close to the bone are short and curved similar look to the boning fish knife.

compare to these custom ones that are used outdoors sportmans sets that are almost exclusively used with deer/elk/moose and such... the other butcher knives are used in butcher shops and not out in the field for butchering in the woods right after the kill..

the one used in the video is not used often in hunting or in pro butchery... probably made in china, but sold in america for people who think they are butchering meat that they buy in the grocery store, who think these are good... the cheap ones cannot hold an edge very well and you end up having to re-cut and re-cut meat because it cannot cut connective tissue properly.
