The gas ones are OK.... but they are not brilliant, the best way to heat a steel wok is on an induction cooker - that way ONLY the thin steel in the say 6mm high magnetic field heats up very hot, almost immediately, you want instant heat in the bottom of the wok, the gas burners are too soft and diffuse to give the same kind of concetrated heat....

@Councilof1: Get the woks with the flat bottoms in them, made of steel and they instant sizzling hot on the induction cookers and they cook up all the moisture, before the vegetables, start to break down and lose their moisture and crispness...
