Washington, DC Increases Security Ahead of People’s Convoy Arrival

Around 700 National Guard troops are set to be stationed in the US capital, along with 50 large tactical vehicles, ahead of the expected arrival of a convoy of protesters. It’s thought the demonstrators – who have taken a stand against COVID mask and vaccine mandates – are aiming to bring hundreds of trucks and other vehicles from California to Washington in time for Biden’s State of the Union address on March 1.
