Venezuela arrests 6 foreigners over alleged plot to assassinate Maduro

Venezuela’s interior minister claimed that the country’s security forces foiled a CIA-backed plot to carry out terror attacks and assassinate President Maduro. Among the 6 suspects are 3 US nationals, including an alleged Navy SEAL. Washington denies any connection to the alleged assassination plan.

This news comes shortly after July's presidential election, when the West accused Maduro of rigging the ballot, while he claimed Washington is trying to topple him.
