Washington has cut off Uganda and three other African nations from being beneficiaries of the African Growth and Opportunity Act, in a move that will now prevent these countries from exporting certain goods to the US duty free. Earlier, President Joe Biden had argued the nations should be excluded for 'gross violations of human rights.’
