US appoints diplomat involved in scandals envoy to India two years after nomination

The US has again slammed human rights in India, citing challenges to freedom of expression, but praising the ‘democratic values' that bind Washington and New Dehli at the same time.
Meanwhile, an envoy to India has been appointed - the man previously involved in several scandals and accused of a sexual harassment cover up.
