What people in general don't understand is what seems like a good idea at the moment, turns out to be something completely different further down the road. When the end of the road is in sight, we all will have regrets and doubts. Will we be able to accept then that we made our own beds and had to lie in them. Was that bed, then the comfort we sought or just a soft place to placate our egos and emotions at the time? The bile we build up over time about what we perceive in the present as wounds to our egos, hasten our end. Will that end just be a release of our bitterness, a permanent solution to our own temporary, self induced problems? Just asking for a friend.
