Two killed by freak lightning strike on beach
Video contains disturbing footage
A lightning strike which killed two people on a beach in Michoacan, Mexico was caught on camera as it happened. Moments before, beachgoers can be seen fleeing after a sudden and dangerous change in the weather. Two people, a tourist and a hammock seller, were struck by a huge lightning bolt as they attempted to escape the storm. One was killed instantly, and the other died while being treated in the hospital.

I had a little "leader" come down the side of the building - and it showed up in a video I was taking of the main thunderstorm and the HUGE lightening strike like 5 Km away....
It was invisible to the naked eye in the flash of the main strike, but in reviewing the video, it was VERY clear in a frame and a half...
I mean it's tragic that these people were killed, but it was a quick clean kill...
I now tend to avoid lightening storms like the plague... or at least stay on dry non conductive surfaces... like in a metal shelter, to stay dry and out of the storm and sitting on the wooden bench, away from all the metal parts..
That way I can avoid getting wet, cold, pneumonia and lightening strikes..
