Awesome vid. Them young guns. My heart wouldn't survive half of the track at that speed.

The excitement of going so fast.... I can only do 20 seconds at a time... I had a flash back... there was a 2 lane highway in the middle of nowhere.... and And me and the friendly girl, were in the back of a panel van, after hitching a ride, and the woman was driving a hotted up 350 cubic inch V8 - blue printed and ported and extractors etc... nothing insane, just a BIG free breathing, modestly hot engine..... And except for the towns where she slowed down to legal speeds, she sat between 180 and 220 Kmh all the way. Then we came to a LONG LONG straight - we were doing about 220 Kmh, and way up ahead was a car in our lane that she wanted to over take, but about 5 Km away was a Jaguar coming from the other direction doing about the same speed, coming towards us - so she floored it......... And I was watching the "view" and the speedo and we got up to 280 Kmh, the jag coming towards us was doing maybe 220 - 240 Kmh.... and that is a closing speed of 500 Kmh + But maybe they were 7 or 8 Km away when she floored it and began to over take... AND we made it past the car and pulled in comfortably quickly and a little "not much distance to spare" - but those two closing speeds ate those 5 or 8 Km up VERY quickly...... Just say it's a 520 Kmh closing speed - that is 520,000 meters an hour, divided by 60 minutes, divided by 60 seconds = 145 meters per second, 10 seconds = 1.45 Km.... 30 seconds = 4.3 Km... It's not frighteningly fast, cause you uderstand that if a tyre blows - and the car disintergrates - they will be picking up the pieces in body bags... But it was an experience worth having... Absolutely.... But at those speeds there is basically little to no room for faults or errors... and it's generally unrecoverable - https://maps.app.goo.gl/5YuNQUyD3gz3zZGY8 - this is why the racing motorcycle stuff at THOSE speeds along THAT track.... "trippin" But I'd be doing 50 or so Km through most of the towns and say 60 - 130 around the more open areas.... Well it is a racing track, with very good surfaces.

I ender up in Motocross in my twenties but I did in the day do a LOT of Race Marshalling with my fist full of flags! lol! On of my favourite afternoons was at Swindon Aerodrome marshalling Bike sprinting, "Baby Drag Bikes" what an afternoon that was to remember, a couple of crashes no casualties, witness a beautiful "Vincent" 1000 getting totally wrecked though!
