space exists before during and after matter passes through it.. matter does not displace space. that would be contrary to gravity.. matter pulls space in.. remnant of the singularity event where matter was formed, space remains concentrated in matter..

Lovely salad bait for rabbits you have. The papaya tree may do better in summer. It's a tropical plant. That rod went through the earth like jello.

You might be right about the papaya. Not knowing, I have to learn by trial and error. The day before, it went all the way. I don't mind it being soft, it causes some issues, but if it was like a rock, it would make my life even more miserable.
