Toy Story The World's First Bridge Built From Meccano - James May's Toy Stories

James May and a team of student's set about building the worlds first connecting bridge out of nothing more than MECCANO. As a quite small boy I used to love making bridges and towers like pylons out of Meccano with my Dad, it was often a saturday oir Sunday thing we did! We would then loosen of the tiny nuts and bolts until the structure failed and collapsed! lol" The stuff we built, a fairground flighing airplann ride, carousel, dock Crane, Biplane all working powered with a large Meccano clockwork motor, those were the day's, no gameboy's and stuff back in the 1950's & 60's!
