@The Man Inside: My buddy and I always joked that if we we're walking in the woods and saw a bear it'd be a race to see who broke the other's leg so they wouldn't have to run that fadt LoL.
My dad told me when he was younger he and a buddy were on a road trip, it was late so they pulled over in some woods, laid out their sleeping bags and slept out on the ground. Sometime in the night, a light dusting of snow had fallen. They woke up to find bear tracks where one had walked all around both of their sleeping bags. He said they loaded up and got out of there FAST!
The luck was it was in daylight and a black bear in daylight unless with cub or startled is only curious. If they find you at night they are hungry and you just became door dash devlivery.
