Thousands plunge into freezing waters of Magellan Strait

Thousands of people plunged into the frigid waters of the Magellan Strait in Chile’s Punta Arenas during the ‘Splash of the Strait’ event. Punta Arenas, the world’s southernmost city, has sub-zero temperatures in July. But that didn't stop 5,000 people from swimming in the waters of the Strait.
