They should have run them through a hammer mill to break them up, so all the steel can be separated from the plastic and varnished wood...

Sure it's a carbon arc furnace - so there is lots of smoke from the electrodes and shit in the feed stock... but it could be improved.

I also get the impression that it's all the crap weapons that are worn out and or damaged etc., and not the good newer stuff that can be cleaned up, repainted and or wiped over with an oily rag.
