Thousands of Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr in Moscow

Prayers in celebration of Eid al-Fitr were held at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. Tens of thousands of worshippers gathered and listened to a sermon delivered by Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the month-long, dawn-to-dusk fasting of Ramadan.
