Recently you mentioned TS Eliot said the world would go with a whimper not a bang and attributed some factors to the cause including technological development, gluttony, sloth, too much consumerism, sexual consumption, fapping and incoming lover bots. Can you expand on these thanks? Well Pete thanks for the doantion and topic. A few weeks ago I re-evaluated my investment philosophy and figured out that once the next crypto boom is over in early 2025 it's probably a good idea to invest in tech stocks. Screw the dividend stocks because a good tech etf with Microsoft, Google, and other tech giants will beat everything else out because those companies and others in the ETF will develop AI, take jobs and beat inflation which I see slowing right now but not stopping. Human's are giving up on relationships, reproduction and responsibility. There are tons of reasons for that but in fifty to one hundred years more of the world will look like Detroit rather than Dallas. We are going to see tons of abandoned buildings, contracting cities. I ask myself why aren't we building beautiful cities being built anymore and it makes me think that the elites know that population collapse is coming and that we will have to tear down the skyscrapers which I see most of as nothing more than temporary housing. Most of the stuff out there should be torn down anyway. So as the populations crash in coming decades and chunks of cities become abandoned and ruined just as AI starts taking tons of people's jobs we will be in a deflationary world. Deflating populations, cities, resources, responsibilities etc. I believe universal basic income will be introduced as well temporarily until the population is much smaller. AI will do the work and makes things cheaper and many people will be given just enough to survive on but not enough to afford kids nor have a decent quality of life. When you look at fapping material online your mind in many ways receives the same satisfaction you'd get if you had a real girlfriend so you stop trying to get one. Even if there was no fapping material you probably wouldn't want one because your testosterone was too low and falling. Everywhere I look as a civilization we've stopped trying and stopped caring. It kind of reminds me of something one of my favorite authors James Howard Kunstler said which is that to live in a hopeful present we have to know where we came from historically while having something to look forward to in the future. A lot of that has to do with our built environments. Most places today are not designed for humans. Why do you think that people like living in beautiful places? When you live surrounded by ugly things you become ugly and uninspired on the inside. But we gutted our world because developers wanted to make a quick buck and we wanted to live in a modern world instead of a classical one.
