Those are the trees that grow up the sides of mountains... and sort of fizz out a another thousand or two feet up... or something like that. They live on a rise. And the fog going over, that is low altiitude cloud.

Actually despite the fanciful notions of artists and movie makers, real combat hammers and axes tend to be small and light - for the purposes of agility and speed. The great big axes are too big, too heavy and too slow, and are hard to use in a fight....
