Ukraine’s latest strikes on Russian refineries put the Trump–Putin diesel deal under pressure. The agreement would bring nearly 5 million tonnes of Russian fuel onto global markets, including supplies to the United States.
American journalist John Varoli discusses whether the arrangement can survive, Zelensky’s criticism of Trump and conflicting statements about American intelligence sharing with Kiev. He argues that continued refinery strikes depend on outside intelligence support and that Washington’s investment in Ukraine helps explain its reluctance to cut support.21:35
