The Senate Homeland Security Committee voted to hold Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress after he invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times while answering questions about the government’s COVID response. Chairman Rand Paul is sending the referral directly to the Justice Department, where prosecutors must decide whether to pursue criminal charges.
