Jesus told Peter that the temple tax is illegitimate. He said that the “sons are exempt.” But he said, “So that you don’t offend them, go fishing, and you’ll find a coin in the fish’s mouth, and use that to pay the tax.”
I’m not giving any tax advice in this video. I’m merely showing what former IRS agents have said. If I was to give tax advice, I would advise people to follow Jesus’ advice to Peter: So that you don’t offend them, go ahead and pay it.

Sherry Jackson quit paying and went to jail. An excellent film is "Freedom To Fascism" on the subject. The best book to describe this is "The Creature From Jekyll Island" by G. Edward Griffin, probably in it's 20th something printing by now.
Its not a "fraud" per se...its "voluntary" ie "color" of law rather than a "law" itself. Its under maritime aka commercial law. The agents/employees of the commercial entities that administer such things are "advocates" for the commercial interest of such "by-laws", so they don't have to tell you the truth about how it works.
