This charity scam is nothing more than another voluntary tax on the population, similar to the lottery. Slightly different results to whom it is suppose to benefit, but equal results to the ones controlling it.

Nothing more than another instrument of control.

My grandmother said many times "hooks to catch your money".

It was "suggested" by The Almighty to give to HIS Kingdom, where one's money could not be stolen by thieves, and moths can't destroy (Mt. 6-19-21). Highly doubt the Red Cross ever fit that bill, since it's inception.

Money is a cancer. "They" say prostitution is the oldest profession, women traded sex for protection and food. No sex, no protection nor food. Sex today, food today. With money, the sex that would provide lunch and dinner today (no need for protection in the modern day) is only enough for 1 meal tomorrow. Without money there's no inflation. I read somewhere x amount of gold 200 years ago needed to buy a pair of shoes, is the amount of gold that would buy a pair of shoes today (considering the same quality). Yet, a pair of 60€ shoes last year is now sold for 70€... only money loses value, not the goods or services (Sex for example).

@The Man Inside: Money is in a way a scam. It can be beneficial but human nature will always corrupt it.

@The Man Inside: money allows for easy and faster trade. Easy to compare as everything is priced in same money.

@red maple: ok, the first I'll give it to you. The second... Money doesn't reflect value, reflects cost. It will cost you x amount of moneys, which by it's nature disguises the value. People don't think "what else could I buy with this money), so there's no comparison in terms of value. Many people consider x moneys is a two day work... for Martin, for Neil is only 2h work. The perceived value is totally distorted. Don't know if I could get my thought your way.

@The Man Inside: That is not the fault of money, that's the fault of poor thinking. What I mean by easy to compare is compare 2 jobs. Job 1 is $5,000/mth vs Job 2 is $7,000/mth.

@red maple: ok, 7k/month = 40h/week and a boss permanently breathing on your neck. 5k/month, 40h/week but you're free to manage your time, the only thing required is that you deliver on time. Which would you pick?

@The Man Inside: 5k. What about job 1 = 50 chickens/wk vs Job 2 = 1,000 lbs of tomatoes. Which do you pick? That's the value of money
