My area is warmer but gets more snow. At least the snow belts do. Buffalo is in a snow belt for example. Nothing quite like shovelling snow to get out of the house lol.

Got shut down for 3 days on I-80 in Laramie due to "ice fog". This was the week of Thanksgiving, 2010. Great place to visit, if you like "Adventures". Lol!

@sauger1001: Ice fog? Normal fog is bad enough. Must have turned the roads to ice near instantly.

@Councilof1: WY state police shut all traffic, unless you had chains, which I didn't. To add insult to injury, once back on the road, the next day, the state of Utah shut down I-84 just south of the Idaho, due to an impending snowstorm, on my way to Portland. A fun trip had by all. LMAO!
