WARNING: Most Men don't want prostitutes for wives. 40 to 80 is a long time to be alone.
Firing an entire police force would be equal parts terrifying and hilarious. The police in Montreal Canada went on strike in the 60's, I'm not certain on date, and the cab/taxi companies were killing each other within an hour of the strike beginning. I can't imagine an American city without police.
