The Mountain Remembers Only The Winner

The mountain doesn't care who climbs it. Neither does the world.

Most chase legacy—children, name, memory—as if the universe keeps a family tree. It doesn't. Evolution registers only who held the summit. The rest is dust.

Here's the truth your friends won't tell you: they can feel bad that you have no children, no lineage. They can pity you sincerely. But they will not make it happen for you. Cannot. That part is yours alone. They think themselves good people because they don't actively block your path. They just won't clear it. Survival of the fittest without violence—only competition for resources, for partners, for the luck of biology and physical attraction that someone else was born with and you were not.

Your father, your brother, your uncles, your coworkers—they can love you and still watch you fall. Their pity changes nothing. Their good intentions build nothing. They stand at the base, holding hands, pretending the climb is shared while secretly grateful their own footholds hold.

But the few who reach the top know: you are alone up there. Always were. Everyone else was just terrain.

If you have power to take it all, take it. Not for legacy. Not for lineage. Take it because the hunger is real, because no one—not family, not friends, not history—will care if you die with nothing.

Understand this, but never speak it. Move in silence. Accumulate advantage. When the window opens, strike.

But know their trick: crisis. Under existential threat, they unite—the compassionate ones who pitied you, the family who loved you, all pretending "togetherness" to survive. You must have power to break even that.
