🕌 In this follow-up address recorded from his home in Trinidad on the 27th day of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH, Sheikh Imran N. Hosein returns to the Saudi Arabia–Pakistan–Turkey defence treaty and examines what he believes may ultimately become of such political alliances in the light of Islamic eschatology.

📘 The lecture begins by revisiting the origins of the defence arrangement. Sheikh Imran argues that Saudi Arabia is the principal driving force behind the treaty, while Pakistan and Turkey participate according to their respective national and strategic interests.

🌙 A major focus of this lecture is the long-term destiny of alliances between modern Muslim states. Sheikh Imran asks whether such treaties can endure if the political order of the Muslim world is transformed by the appearance of Imam al-Mahdi.

📖 The discussion then develops into Sheikh Imran’s interpretation of the Prophetic tradition concerning the death of a Muslim leader, disagreement over succession, and the emergence of a man from Madinah who travels to Makkah and is given the Bay’ah near the Ka’bah. Sheikh Imran explains that he interprets the reference to a Khalifah in this tradition as potentially referring to a major Muslim ruler rather than to the head of a previously restored Caliphate.

🕊️ The lecture also explores the signs Sheikh Imran believes would confirm the identity of Imam al-Mahdi, including the army described in Prophetic traditions as advancing towards him and being swallowed by the earth. He presents these signs as crucial safeguards against false claimants.

⭐ The session further examines the concept of Bay’ah and the obligation, in Sheikh Imran’s interpretation, of Muslims to transfer their allegiance to Imam al-Mahdi once his identity is genuinely established. He argues that existing alliances, monarchies, republics, and nation-state loyalties would then become secondary to the leadership of the Imam.
