he is lucky that the crow didn't peck his eye out . never let an animal within face strike range . especially a parrot or other bird.

Relationships with non-human animals are amazing. The animals can be so reciprocating, WAY more than people usually are.

Crows are even incredibly intelligent, knowing how to use things like leverage, water displacement, etc to solve complex puzzles and problems. I recall, as well, that a study was done where they had a guy wear a mask and bother the crows, and then they basically checked to see if the crows were able to pass that knowledge along to others, and they found that they could even pass the knowledge, through description, onto their young, so that the young actually know the guy was a threat when he appeared with the mask, but when he didn't have the mask on, there was no such reaction. I believe they also said that, in the process, they determined that the language of crows is complex and actually has a grammar.
