At least at the start... mostly.

I had to do a LOT of work to get reasonably good camera mounts...
Eliminating the vibration, vehicle sounds etc...

There is making the camera - fixed - so it moves as if it IS a part of the car.

Then there is isolating the vibration and noise that comes from the car it's self and comes through as vibration of the image, or into the audio.

I live in Bumfuck Nowhere Australia and there are good roads, for sure, but there are also lots of really shit roads......

And it's been a real test of supermarket style camera mounts - most of them are kind of OK, but they are NOT brilliant... Especially not on ROUGH roads..

AND because of the situation and location, and the way the car features were designed, I ended up making my own magnetic mounts, that I glued to the dashboard with silicon roof and gutter sealant....

It's my car, it suits me.. LOL

BUT I learned from trying a lot of camera mounts that either didn't work, worked poorly or had problems and compromises that were pains in the arse.

In one way, the best of the store bought ones, had an expanding shaft that sat in the cup holder, AND it worked "well enough" BUT the expanding shaft, meant that I could not slide the dash cup holder out of the way... and both the expanding shaft and the cup holder, also BLOCKED off access to the heating / air conditioning and fan controlls..... Both visually and with access to them via the fingers....

Your car is different to mine....

Mine is a desk top type aluminium phone holder, I have bent it a bit to suit the conditions in the car, it has SOFT balsawood padding on the mounts, thin disk neodynium magnets, a thin metal plate on the back of the phone and the mount has a soft rubber spacer on the flexible arm to allow the phone to be positioned to view me when I am making a video or to be swung to make the camera face up the road... and that aluminium lengths, to the camera mount it's self, vibrates in harmonic sympathy with the car shaking and some engine RPM frequencies, so a thin removable strip of "yoga / camping mat" stuck under that, quenches the vibrations that can work in the mount it's self....
