Is this the future? Children hussling online?
The most you can give them is that they share more or less useful information to the public, but it is still based on attention seeking. And once that attention dries up, good luck to you. Because unlike the entertainment industry where you have a few competitors, here you have the entire world to compete against.
Not to mention all the risks you step into when putting your entire life online.
As an example, look at China : when something worth showing happens, an entire army of selfie-personalities literally swarms the streets, starting a fierce battle for attention; and we all know, for attention seeking, the weirder the better. Say bye bye to normal reporting.
Also, if the next generation flocks to providing this type of so-called "value" for society, no one will be left to keep society's infrastructure up and running.
