Taiwanese president watches troops during large-scale military exercises

Taiwanese leader Tsai Ing-wen has attended a series of large-scale military drills. As part of the annual exercises, 20 warships including frigates and destroyers fired shells to intercept and attack a would-be invading force off Taiwan’s northeast coast, while fighter jets and domestically manufactured Ching-Kuo fighters launched airstrikes.
