You're mercurymaxxing with tuna? Be careful, you're supposed to only eat 10oz of tuna per week to avoid mercury poisoning. They make canned chicken breast that costs about the same, and there's no mercury in that.

That is $7.50 a Lb, or nearly $17 US a kilo x $2 = $34 Au - really good lamb during seasonal and market shortages goes for around that price here..

Not sure of the prices of different meat cuts but decently meaty lamb chops are around $14 a kilo, $12 in a glut, and $18 - $28 for fresh meat in a somewhat tight market...

Don't worry - it will soon be over and prices will drop again.

I don't know about the "inflation" / "tarrifs" etc., by Trunt the Cunt, but lamb prices peaked and appear to be coming down again as supermarket prices here (Australia) start coming down again - to something more reasonable.
I think the issue of supply and demand and the shortage and highest prices ever, that will flow across like a wave, and then then receed.

@Alpha Male Lifestyle: It's sort of like if a train is delayed by 20 minutes - for soem reason, then aside from some efforts to catch up and get on time... bascially it will arrive at the first station 20 minutes late, the next station 19 minutes late, the next station 18 minutes late etc....... So when the market / sales yard prices spike here, because there is not many lambs left, for the domestic and export markets, so the prices go right up.... leading to a huge spike in prices - I think that was 2 months ago.... So all the processing times, and freight times, for those prices, flow on through the markets and take time to come through. Lambs are a seasonal product - not sure of the age, but from newborn to say 9 months... they tend to all get pregnant and give birth and then the lambs are harvested - in spring here.... around this time... so two months back there were not many of them left and demand was huge. Have you heard of the term "Spring Lamb" - yeah well I am not paying attention to all of this with a microscope, but I pay attention to the typical supermarket prices for different cuts. They seem to be coming down. I will email you a few details.

@Alpha Male Lifestyle: The weather bureau has been issuing regional reports for warnings to sheep graziers... very cold wind / blizzards / severe frosts of late etc. for graziers ( sheep growers ) - or there was a few weeks back...
