Yup, been telling Family, Friends, and Acqaintenances the same thing with regards to the Delusion of homeownership for decades.

Any so-called homeowner that pays Property tax is fundamentally just a glorified renter with the Government as their Landlord & Owner. And it's always laughable when people actually think they own their home after the mortgage is paid off under these circumstances.

Basically, their Home "owns & financially Imprisons them" via Property tax, Maintenance expenses, Mortgage ...etc, as long as they can manage to to continue to pay the Real owners; but they "Never" will own the home.
