My ex invited me to go out once. After that she would moan we never went anywhere. I would tell her to get something for us to do, she would just keep moaning. She doesn't drive, my fuel, my tyres, my maintenance, and I pay for food... If I'm in a relationship, I don't mind paying, I don't like being abused. You not wrong, if I invite a girl out, I'll pay. But I would also pay if I invited you for dinner.

When I asked a former GF out for the first time, I was prepared to pay the bill. But when the bill came she asked if I'd like to split the bill, so I said sure. Later in the relationshit, she would bring that up trying to shame me. I told her that she shouldn't have volunteered if she didn't want to split it. Mute point now. It's over. She's gone. And I've been monk mode ever since.
