There was a teacher who tried to punish us for that, not only it didn't work, as the teacher who complained got an even worst treatment after that. Like a couple of my mates hitting on him, pretending to be faggots, harassing him during classes, throwing lemons and shoes at the board when he turned his back... FFS, there was an idiot who shoved a potato in the exhaust of the car of a cool teacher. We never saw that car again...
