Saudi-hosted Ukraine peace summit set to begin with Russia absent

Talks on a peace plan for Ukraine are to be held in Jeddah, attracting officials from some 40 countries, but Russia was not invited, despite Moscow’s repeated warning that there can be no peace in Ukraine without security guarantees for Russia.
